We are back down under where everything is always trying to kill you, including your F1 career! *Staring at Lance and Oscar.
It has been two weeks since the last race in Saudi Arabia and that Aston Martin still seems to be the real deal. Now that we are on to race #3, I am sure Stroll Jr. will feel more pressure as the gap between him and Alonso becomes all too obvious. Will Daddy Stroll allow the gap to stay, or will he make a move to 1) Send his son off as he’s holding the team, and his money, back, or 2) reduce support for Alonso to bring him down to Lance’s level?
The Albert Park circuit does favour the pole sitter with a 40% chance of winning. But let’s be honest; if Max gets pole, it probably won’t matter. However, Perez consistently matches or exceeds him at this point of the season. The question is, can Perez sustain his performance (and luck) to the very end?
There are a lot of dips for this GP, with a few obvious exceptions. Alonso, Russell, and Perez seem to have the momentum here, barring any technical gremlins.
