The Interlagos is one of the most exciting tracks on the calendar. It boasts one of the higher numbers of overtaking and challenging elevation changes. 42.11% of the race winner came from the pole position, while 34.21% started in second. Further down the grid are also not without a chance as winners have come up from 3rd, 6th, 5th, 8th, and even 10th. This is not a race to count anyone out!
As the season whins down, we are able to see a bit more of each driver’s performance from the beginning to (near) the end. While their cars play a huge role in their results, some drivers adapt better than others.
In the case of Yuki, I am still unsure or unconvinced of his survivability in F1. One wonders if he is a great driver for a handful of races but may not have the endurance or interest to perform consistently in a year-long season. Yuki needs to mature quickly if he is to avoid a change in career to DJ-ing a-la Mazepin.
After a season of stressful disappointments, maybe Ricciardo is turning the corner? With an imminent announcement as to his future, maybe the burden and pressure are off, and he can finish out these last two races the way he wants to. I am definitely hoping he will finish with a +bang!
