F1 Bahrain GP 2022 Predictions
It's anyone's game, but hey, look at all those pretty data points!
Welcome to the first edition of The Pecking Order, where you will find amusing [and somewhat wishful] predictions of the Formula 1 season based on statistics.
So first off, are any of this data even relevant this year since we have all new regulations? Probably not, but maybe, I hope? But that shouldn't stop us from making some guesses about the drivers and their experiences on these tracks. I mean, all of us can only hope these drivers' multi-million-dollar salary plays into some aspect of our predictions.
Anyhow, on to Bahrain! Sir Hamilton, Bottas, and Vettel are my top 3 picks for this circuit. Their experience and result on this track speak for themselves, and since everyone will be adjusting to race trim in their first outing with the new cars, I think they may be the best bet. With that said, I think the race is anyone's game; I would not be surprised if some of the backmarkers get a chance at the podium for the next 2 races as everyone gets their acts together.
Personally, I am hoping for some break-out moments from sophomores Yuki and Micki (a new band name?).
On the social media front (collected from the last 30 days), Lewis continues to dominate in terms of his publicity. He is just always on the news. His recent name changes may also be why his numbers are super high. It is also interesting yet not surprising to see Lando as the most loveable in social media. People see him in the positive 15 to 1! I am very curious to see why both Alpine drivers high in the passion area. This number means some super fans like to talk about them repeatedly, and a lot more than other fans! As the season continues, I am curious to see if and how media and fans play into each Grand Prix and vice versa.
So what are your predictions for Bahrain?
